What if The Little Mermaid had an admirer she never knew about?
Caught up in a mermaid tale, he watches her.
Though she no longer swims, the ocean still mystified her soul.
As she glances out at the evening horizon, he stares back from the waves.
He knows, though, that her tail will never return,
Yet his passion will forever burn.
